Before buying this product I read dozens of reviews covering a multitude
of crushers. In the end I bought the best. I have already crushed
well over a thousand cans without a glitch. I would gladly recommend
this product to anyone. My two recommendations would be (and I learned
these tricks from reading reviews) would be to put a slight squeeze on
any can before crushing. This helps the metal fold & prevents undue
stress on your crusher thus extending the product's life. The second
would be to lubricate the arms before using. After about ten cans the
arms began to seize up and I could notice them angling to the side. I
immediately sprayed a dry lubricant I had on hand (Elmer's Slide-All)
and have not had a problem since. It moves so easy now that the handle
just hangs down when not in use instead of staying upright. Unless you
have an issue with space this is no problem. I saw a review where
someone recommended grease but this can get messy so any dry lubricant
should do the job. Hope this helps.
